Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner. 2.

A limited prayer in this petition is to direct the Court of Civil Judge, Senior Division, Pune, to hear and decide the application for leave to defend filed by the respondent - defendant, in Special Summary Suit No.264/2018. 3.

Mr. Wakankar, the learned Counsel for the petitioner, submits that the application for leave to defend was filed on 7th October, 2019 and the reply thereto has been filed on 21st November, 2019.

As the proceedings arise out of a summary suit, which is required to be heard expeditiously, the prayer for expedite hearing of the application for leave to defend appears justifiable. 1/2

The Court is informed that Special Summary Suit No.264/2018 is scheduled to be listed before the learned Civil Judge on 9th April, 2026.

The petition, thus, stands disposed with a request to the learned Civil Judge seized with Special Summary Suit No.264/2018 to hear and decide the application for leave to defend as expeditiously as possible and, preferably, within a period of three months from 9th April, 2026.
