In this petition, the petitioner has assailed the validity of the corrigendum dated 14th February 2025 issued by Regional Joint Director of Sugar, Pune Division, Pune by which the cut-off date mentioned in the Notification issued by the State Cooperative Election Authority, Maharashtra State, Pune has been altered from 1st January 2025 to 26th February 2025. 2.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of proviso to Rule 9(1) of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies (Election to Committee) Rules 2014, the State Cooperative Election Authority alone has jurisdiction to either prescribe the cut-off-date or alter the same.
