The Petition challenges order dated 20 December 2024 passed by Industrial Tribunal, Kolhapur rejecting the application for amendment of the reference for the purpose of effecting change in the name of first party from 'The Ratnakar Bank Limited' to RBL Bank Limited.

Perusal of the Written Statement filed by the first party would indicate that the same is filed on behalf of RBL Bank Limited (formerly the Ratnakar Bank Limited). Thus RBL Bank Limited is actually defending the reference before the Industrial Tribunal. The award passed in the reference would obviously bind RBL Bank Limited as well. In that view of the matter, it was not necessary for the Petitioner to seek amendment of the katkam Page No.

k 2/2 7 wp 2489.25 as.doc reference. What has occurred is merely change in the name the Ratnakar Bank Limited to RBL Bank Limited. The entity in the changed name of RBL Bank Limited has filed the Written Statement and is defending the reference. This would mean that the reference would bind RBL Bank Ltd.
