By this Petition, the Petitioner essentially seeks a direction to the Respondent No.2 to forthwith open up the pipeline laid down below the main District Road No.46, which has been illegally closed by encroachers by using murum and, to remove the encroachment on the Gairan land and Gaotale (water tank) land. 2.

Learned AGP, on instructions, states that way back in 2022, i.e., 29th September 2022, the Public Works Department had addressed a letter to the Grampanchayat Khanota, Taluka Daund, District Pune asking the Grampanchayat to remove the said encroachments. He submits that till date the Grampanchayat has not done the needful.

Today, learned counsel appearing for the Respondent No.2-Grampanchayat Khanota, Taluka Daund, District Pune, on instructions of the Grampanchayat, assures and undertakes to open up the pipeline by removing the murum within ten days from today. Statement accepted.

In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the Respondent No.2 nothing survives for further consideration in this Petition.

The Petition stands disposed of.

List the matter for recording compliance of the statement made by the learned counsel for the Respondent No.2 on 4th July 2025.

Needless to state, that if there is any encroachment on the land in question, the Respondent Nos.1 to 3 to take appropriate steps to remove the same, in accordance with law.
