961 WP NO. 3544 OF 2025 and Anr 2.

It is a matter regarding counting of the seniority of the petitioners, who have been transferred mutually, in light of Rule 6(8)(ii) of the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads District Services (Recruitment) Rules, 1967. The petitioners are before us, being anxious that their representations for considering the seniority in accordance with the aforementioned rule to be taken into consideration for ensuing intra-district transfer for the year 2025-26, being undertaken by respondent - Zilla Parishad. 3.

After hearing the parties for sometime in the first session, considering the fact that tomorrow is the last date when the data is to be uploaded, we had requested the learned advocate for Zilla Parishad to take instructions as regards the petitioners' representations. After having taken such instructions, when we take up the matter at the bottom of the board, he informs that the representations have been turned down on the ground that the clause of Rule 6(8)(ii) is not applicable and it is clause No. (iii) that is applicable.

4.

We adjourn the matter to 17.03.2025 expecting respondent - the Education Officer to file affidavit and copies of these orders by Monday, i.e. 17.03.2025.
