Mr. Kumbhakoni, learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent Corporation has today tendered a chart, which inter alia sets out the amount of tax which according to the Respondent Corporation is due and payable by each of the Petitioners. Learned Counsel for the Petitioners have made a very fair suggestion in the backdrop of our order dated 4 th August 2025. Learned Counsel for the Petitioners submit that they are ready and willing to deposit such amounts which according to each of the Petitioners would be due and payable as property tax. Let this be done on or before the next date to enable us to then proceed further in the matter and pass appropriate orders on the aspect of deposit, in those cases where such orders may be necessary.
We have not examined the figures mentioned in the chart submitted by Mr. Kumbhakoni. If there is any correction in the figures, the Advocates for the respective Petitioners are permitted to bring it to the notice of the Advocate for the Corporation. The statement as furnished by Mr. Kumbhkoni is served on all the parties as also taken on record and marked "X" for identification. Let such a statement be prepared and furnished to the Advocate for the Municipal Corporation by each of the Petitioners within one week from today. The same shall then be examined by the Officers of the Panvel Municipal Corporation within one week thereafter.
4/4 Let reply affidavit to the Interim Application for amendment be placed on record on behalf of the Panvel Municipal Corporation on or before the adjourned date of hearing.
Stand over to 25th August 2025, High On Board. Ad-interim orders granted earlier shall continue to operate until the adjourned date of hearing.
