By the present Writ Petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of a direction to the Revenue Authorities to mutate the name of the Registrar, Shivaji University, Kolhapur in the Revenue Records. After the Writ Petition was filed, the Tahsildar on 2nd April 2025 has issued a notice under Section 155 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 wherein it is stated that further proceedings with regard to an enquiry for undertaking mutation entries would be held on 8th May 2025.

Considering the fact that the Tahsildar has initiated the proceedings to undertake mutation entries as prayed for, by directing the Tahsildar to complete the said exercise on its own merits and in accordance with law, expeditiously, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
