Since the petitioner (in each petition) has remedy of appeal under Rule 10 of the Maharashtra Village Police Patil (Recruitment, Pay, Allowances and other conditions) Order, 1968, the writ petitions need not be entertained.

However, it is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the grievance of the petitioners on merits.

The petitioner (in each writ petition) is at liberty to challenge the impugned order by way of appeal, and in case such appeal is filed, the Appellate Authority shall consider the application for stay within two weeks from the date of presentation of appeal.

Both the writ petitions stand disposed of in above terms. No costs.
