Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The petitioner is a senior citizen who has been constrained to approach this Court under writ jurisdiction for a direction to the respondents to disburse compensation in her favor in a time-bound manner. 3.

The petitioner contends that she has been running from pillar to post for the past many years in the context of land acquisition award dated 10/04/2015. It is stated that although compensation for acquisition of land was received, major portion of the monetary compensation for fruit bearing trees and other trees, has not been disbursed. It is stated that the documents filed along with the writ petition demonstrate that the Respondent No. 1 Sub Divisional Officer has been sending proposals to the competent Sweety

12-WP-4224-2026.doc authorities for disbursal of Rs. 87,02,490/-, but no steps are taken by the concerned officers till date. It is brought to our notice that even the local Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) has recommended the case of the petitioner on the ground that she is a senior citizen and that compensation ought to be disbursed at least during her lifetime. 4.

We expect the respondent officers of the State to act forthwith to ensure that the aforesaid amount of compensation is disbursed to the petitioner.

In that light, issue notice for final disposal returnable on 30th April 2026, to be included on the Supplementary Board. Learned AGP waives notice on behalf of all the respondents.

We expect the respondents to give top priority to the grievance raised by the petitioner in this petition and to make a positive statement on the next date of hearing.
