Bringing our attention to the order passed by the Assistant Registrar Co-operative Societies, the Petitioner has prayed for direction to the Respondent No.1 - Chikotra Khore Gramin Bigersheti Sahakari Patsanstha, to repay the deposit amount of Rs.6,46,900/- with interest @ 21% p.a. to the Petitioner.

The Petitioner has deposited this amount with the Respondent No.1 - Chikotra Khore Gramin Bigersheti Sahakari by SAJAKALI LIYAKAT JAMADAR Date:

Patsanstha. The fixed deposit period expired in the year 2023. Our attention is invited to the communication dated 11.04.2023 addressed by the District Deputy Registrar Co-operative Societies, Kolhapur to the Assistant Registrar Co-operative Societies, Bhudargad for conducting an audit in the light of provisions of Section 81(3)(c) of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960. Accordingly on 02.12.2024, the Assistant Registrar Co-operative Societies has passed an order under Section 81(3)(c) of the Co-operative Societies Act, 1960.

It appears that no further steps have been taken by the Assistant Registrar Co-operative Societies so far. We accordingly direct the Assistant Registrar Co-operative Societies, to immediately take appropriate action in furtherance of the communication dated 02.12.2024. 4.

We find in respect of some of the depositors, the Assistant Registrar has issued a notice for hearing vide communication dated 04.07.2024, which is at page-31 of the paper book. Similar such proceedings may be initiated so as to ensure that the grievance of the Petitioner is ventilated in

accordance with law.

The Petitioner to approach the office of the Respondent No.3 on 23.06.2025 at 11.00 a.m. when the Petitioner shall be heard and further action be taken in accordance with law after hearing all concerned. Necessary action/decision be taken/made expeditiously and preferably within 10 weeks from 23.06.2025.

Parties to act on an authenticated copy of this order. 7.

Learned A.G.P. to communicate this order to the Assistant Registrar Co-operative Societies at Kolhapur. Liberty to the Petitioner to place the copy of this order on record of the Assistant Registrar Co-operative Societies, on the next date of hearing.
