This petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is filed praying for the following relief:

"A) That, this Hon'ble High Court be pleased to issue a writ of Mandamus, writ in the nature of mandamus, or any other appropriate writ/direction or order under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950 thereby directing the ld. District Court, Raigad to decide Civil M.A. 62/2017 expeditiously within a period of 1 month of disposal of present writ petition owing to the urgency stated in the writ petition."

Thus, as clearly seen from the prayer, the only relief prayed for is to the effect that the District Court at Raigad be directed to decide Civil Miscellaneous Application No. 62 of 2017 filed by the respondent expeditiously, as it pertains to custody of the petitioner's biological daughter Pranali. We do not intend to delve on the facts of the case and its rival contentions in regard to the adoption, suffice it to observe that it is open for the petitioner to move an application for early disposal of the pending proceedings of Civil Miscellaneous Application No. 62/2017 and if such an application is made, the same be decided in accordance with law and an appropriate order be passed within a period of two weeks from the date such application is filed. All contentions of the parties in that regard are 17 April, 2025
