1] It is submitted by the learned Senior Advocate for the petitioner that in terms of Schedule-XIII of the Rules of Legal Education 2008, the petitioner has moved an application seeking approval for starting a new Law College in August 2022. However, Shivaji University, Kolhapur granted its affiliation to the petitioner for the year 2025-26 only on 09/01/2025. For this reason the 1st respondent has not included the name of the proposed institution for inspection which is required to be done by 30/04/2025.

2] Issue notice to the respondents, returnable on 23/06/2025. 3] Mr. Shekhar Jagtap, waives notice for respondent no.1. The learned Assistant Government Pleader waives notice for respondent no.2.

2 25 WP-5263-25.doc 4] Considering the fact that the petitioner could not submit the complete application in time by 31/12/2024 for want of affiliation by Shivaji University, by ad-interim direction, the respondent no.1 is directed to include the name of the petitioner-college for initial inspection. On such inspection, further steps be taken by the respondent no.1 in accordance with law.

5] The respondent no.1 shall accept the communication dated 09/01/2025 issued bey the Deputy Registrar, Shivaji University, Kolhapur to facilitate this exercise.

6] Stand over to 23/06/2025.
