In both these Petitions, the Petitioners have developed a serious apprehension that Clause 4.3.4 of the Government
Resolution dated 18th June, 2024, pertaining to the policy of coupleconvenience in intra-district transfers under a Zilla Parishad, is not likely to be adhered to and consequently, these Petitioners are likely to be posted in places, which would be away from their partners. 2.
The learned Advocates appearing on behalf of the respective Zilla Parishads before us, submit that a specific procedure is followed while carrying out the Annual General Transfers of candidates in various categories, out of which couple-convenience is one such category. The applications tendered online by the desirous candidates, are responded to by giving them a call to participate in the counseling sessions. Depending upon the availability at various places and feasibility in adhering to the couple-convenience policy, options suggested by the candidates are taken into consideration during the counseling sessions. Once the Petitioners participate in the counseling process, their inputs will be considered and depending upon the vacancies available, orders would be issued and it would be attempted as far as possible, to keep the couple within 30 kms.

In view of the above, the learned Sr. Advocate, Mr. Pakale
submits on instructions that the Petitioners who have tendered their online applications, would respond to the counseling sessions and participate in the said rounds.

By recording the above statements, these Writ Petitions are disposed off.
