By the aforesaid Petitions, Petitioners seek a direction to Respondent No.1 - Deputy Collector (Land Acquisition, Metro Centre No.1, Uran, Tal. Uran, Dist. Raigad) to decide Petitioners' Applications preferred by them under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act as expeditiously as possible. 3.
Learned counsel for Petitioners in all the aforesaid Petitions submits that Petitioners' land were acquired by Respondent No.1 sometime in the year 2004 and award was passed in favour of aforesaid Petitioners in February, 2024. He submits that all the aforesaid Petitioners have filed Applications seeking enhancement of compensation.

Considering that the Petitioners' Applications are pending before Respondent No.1 - Deputy Collector (Land Acquisition, Metro Centre No.1, Uran, Tal. Uran, Dist. Raigad), seeking enhancement of compensation based on other similar matters, we deem it appropriate to direct Respondent No.1 to decide Petitioners' Applications filed 2/3
under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act as expeditiously as possible and in any event within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the Applications filed by the Petitioners before the Respondent No.1 and as such keep all contentions of all parties open. 6.
