CORAM : REVATI MOHITE DERE & SANDESH D. PATIL, JJ.
DATE : 11th SEPTEMBER 2025.
P.C. :- 1.
By this Writ Petition, the Petitioner seeks a direction against the Respondent - Board of Control for Cricket In India 1/4
(BCCI) to consider the application of the petitioner for granting Affiliation/Recognition as a member of the Respondent - BCCI. 2.
The Petitioner had preferred an application for the first time to BCCI on 21.05.2009, however, the said application has not been decided by the Respondent - BCCI till date and hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. We are shocked by the lackadaisical attitude of the Respondent - BCCI of sitting over the application and not deciding the same for quite an unreasonable period of time.
3.
Upon asking the Counsel for the Respondent - BCCI, he informed us that the BCCI would constitute a Committee for the purpose of deciding the said application for grant of Affiliation/ Recognition within a period of one week from the date of uploading of this order. Statement accepted.
2/4
4.
The Petitioner informs us that the Petitioner would now be filling a fresh application for grant of Affiliation/Recognition with the Respondent - BCCI within a period of two weeks from today.
5.
Since, the BCCI has taken an unusually long time in deciding the earlier application of the Petitioner, we direct the Respondent - B.C.C.I, to decide the fresh application of the Petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the Petitioner's fresh application.
6.
With these directions nothing survives for further consideration in this Writ Petition. The same is disposed of accordingly.

7.
All concerned to act on the authenticated copy of this order.
