Despite the question being repeated thrice, the learned Advocate representing the Waqf Board attempted to dodge our query and did not answer the question as to whether it is correct that the Chief Executive Officer failed to comply with the directions of this Court dated 09th December 2025, within the eight weeks period granted to him. Prima facie, it does appear that the order of this Court has been disobeyed.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioners points out that two different Benches had already imposed costs of Rs. 25,000/- and Rs. 5,000/- on the Chief Executive Officer for his conduct in Sufiyan Syed - PA

4.WP.6127.2025.odt those matters. However, at the request of the learned Advocate, the orders imposing costs were withdrawn.

Issue Suo Moto Contempt Notice, under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to the Chief Executive Officer of the Waqf Board returnable on 23rd March, 2026.
