Heard Mr Kunal Aher who appears with Mr Rajabhau Chaudhari for the Petitioner and Mr Ochani learned Counsel for the Respondents.

The Petitioner challenges the non payment of reward by alleging that such denial is in breach of Circular No. 20 of 2025 dated 31 July 2015 concerning grant of reward to informers.

On perusing the averments in the Petition and upon hearing the learned Counsel for the parties, we think that this Petition can be disposed of by directing the Respondents to furnish the Petitioner information regarding the steps that they have taken based upon the information supplied by the

10-WP-6334-2025.DOCX Petitioner against two entities. This information is set out in Exhibit 'A' to the Petition.

The information need not include any sensitive details but they should at least let the Petitioner know whether any action was initiated based upon the information supplied by him and the status of recoveries, if any.

The above information should be supplied to the Petitioner within two months from today. Upon receipts of this information, we grant the Petitioner liberty to file a fresh representation for advance reward and other benefits. In this representation, the Petitioner, can utilise the information received and also refer to the various provisions of the Circular No. 20 of 2015 dated 31 July 2015 based upon which the Petitioner claims rewards.

The Respondents are directed to dispose of Petitioner's fresh representation as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within two months of its receipt. The concerned Respondent must also grant an opportunity of hearing to the Petitioner before disposing of the representation should the Petitioner so desire.

The representation must be disposed of without being influenced by the rejection letter dated 2 July 2024. 8.

All contentions of all parties are however left open. This Petition is disposed of in the above terms without any costs order. All concerned to act on an authenticated copy of this order.
