The proceedings are placed today before us on the backdrop of our order dated 25 July 2025. Mr. Shrikant Shrish Bhunje, Gramsevak, has placed on record an affidavit of further action being taken. The relevant contents of the affidavit read thus:
"2.
I say that the Gram Panchayat had requested for police protection encroachments to comply with the directions of this Hon'ble Court and accordingly it was granted as there was threat of obstruction from the local people. Hereto annexed and marked as Exhibit PP is the copy of letter issued by the Superintendent of Police, Satara dated 4.8.2025.
3. I say that on 6th of August, 2025 the Gram Panchayat undertook the demolition to remove the unauthorized encroachments as per the Gram Panchayat records on the Gairan Lands being Gat Nos. 915/1, 915/2 and 773 situated in the Village. Hereto annexed and marked as Exhibit QQ are the copies of the photographs along with the panchnama evidencing the demolition of the unauthorized structures situated on the Gairan Lands.
4. I say that the Gram Panchayat also demolished the encroachments standing on the roads situated in the Village as per the record maintained by the Gram Panchayat in the 8 August 2025 P. V. Rane

Hereto annexed and marked as Exhibit RR are the copies of the photographs along with the panchnama evidencing the demolition of the unauthorized structures standing on the roads situated in the Village. 5 I say that Shri. Anil Baburao Bhosale who is Petitioner No. 4 in the present Writ Petition had obstructed the demolition which was undertaken by the Respondent Gram Panchayat. Ultimately unauthorized structures were demolished.
6. I say that the Respondent Gram Panchayat has scrupulously adhered to the directions given by this Hon'ble Court on 17.6.2025 and 25.7.2025 and has removed all the unauthorized encroachments as per the Gram Panchayat records." 2.
We are informed by Mr. Bodke, learned Counsel for the petitioners that all grievances of the petitioners on the unauthorized constructions, are so far not met and many of the illegal structures are yet to be removed. It is submitted that some structures on the "Gairan lands" are also to be removed. 3.
Learned Counsel for the respondent-Grampanchayat has fairly stated that whatever balance unauthorized structures have remained to be removed, an action would be taken in accordance with law and the same shall be removed. Leaving the Grampanchayat to take further appropriate action, we adjourn the proceedings to 29 August 2025 (HOB), so that further progress in this regard can be informed to the Court.
