In this Petition, the Petitioner, inter-alia, seeks a direction to the Secretary, Public Works Department to forthwith grant administrative approval to the estimate for revised administrative approval for the work in question.

Learned Addl. Govt. Pleader, on 25 June 2025 had sought time to seek instructions in the matter. Today, when the matter is called out, the learned Addl. Govt. Pleader states that some time be granted to Respondent No.1 to take a decision with regard to the estimate for revised administrative approval in respect of construction of the bridge in question. 1/2

In view of aforesaid submission and in the facts and circumstances of the case, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition with the directions to the Secretary, Public Works Department to take a decision with regard to grant of administrative approval to the estimate for revised administrative approval within a period of eight weeks from today. 4.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits of the matter.
