By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent No.2-Sub Divisional Officer, Thane Division, Thane, to forthwith issue caste certificate showing the correct nomenclature of the petitioner's caste as 'Tokre Koli' tribe, which is recognised as a scheduled tribe.

The grievance of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that although a caste certificate has been issued, the caste certificate reflects that the petitioner belongs to Tokare Koli, scheduled tribe and N. S. Chitnis 1/2

911-wp.8091.2025.doc as such there is a spelling error in the said certificate. 3.

Mr. Joshi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents-State accepts the said anomaly/mistake in the caste certificate. He states that if the petitioner files an Online Application Form seeking correction in the caste certificate, which is at Exhibit-'A' of the petition, the respondent No.2 will forthwith issue correct caste certificate with the correct name of the scheduled tribe. Statement accepted.

In view of the aforesaid, nothing survives for consideration in the present petition. Petition stands disposed of accordingly. 5.

Stand over to 11th July 2025, for recording compliance of the aforesaid order.
