Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that 10 generations of the petitioner's ancestors have been taking care and managing the Bhimeshwar Mahadev temple in Bhiwandi. The petitioner receives sum of Rs. 30 from the Tahsildar Bhiwandi to look after the management of the temple. The financial condition of the petitioner is weak. Accordingly, the petitioner addressed a representation to the Tahsildar, Bhiwandi. The Circle Officer of Bhiwandi has filed his report dated 03/08/2022 which is at page 34 of the paper-book

Ingale 18-wp-8242-25.odt and informed Tahsildar Bhiwandi about the expenses required towards up keep and other expenses of the temple. Accordingly, Tahsildar submitted his report to the Collector on 08/12/2022 which is at page 36 of the paper-book. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that no further action has been taken by the Collector on the basis of the said report.

We have heard learned AGP appearing for the respondents. We are satisfied in the facts and circumstances of the present case that the Collector Thane can be directed to look into the grievance of the petitioner and report dated 08/12/2022 and if necessary, upon hearing the petitioner, take further action on the said report. 3.

The decision on the said report be communicated to the petitioner within a period of 12 weeks from 04/07/2025. 4.

The petitioner to appear before the Collector, Thane on 04/07/2025 at 11:00 a.m. along with copy of this order. 5.
