By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent No.3 to defreeze the Bank Account No.XXXXXXXXXX0829, Customer I.D. No. XXXXX7285 standing in the name of the petitioner at the respondent No.3-Bank. Direction is also sought to give permission to the petitioner to operate the said account.

Learned counsel for the respondent Nos.2 and 3 submits that the petitioner's bank account has been frozen pursuant to a letter received from the police of Tamil Nadu, on a complaint made by the complainant in Tamil Nadu. He submits that in view of the same, the petition is not maintainable before this Court, inasmuch as, the cause of action has arisen in Tamil Nadu.

We find merit in the said submission with respect to the jurisdiction of this Court to entertain this petition. The cause of action has arisen in Tamil Nadu considering that on a complaint lodged in Tamil Nadu, the Tamil Nadu police have frozen the petitioner's account.

In this view of the matter, we are not inclined to entertain this petition. Needless to state, that the petitioner is at liberty to file appropriate proceeding before the appropriate forum seeking the very same relief, as sought for in this petition.

Petition is dismissed and accordingly disposed of on the aforesaid terms.
All concerned to act on the authenticated copy of this order.
