Learned Counsel for the petitioner seeks extension of time to carry out the amendment as permitted by this Court vide order dated 30th June 2025.

Vide order dated 30th June 2025, we had requested the Dean, B. J. Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital, Pune, to constitute a Medical Board consisting of Neurologist and other doctors with respect to the medical condition of the respondent No.3, who according to the petitioner is in a vegetative state. 4.

Pursuant thereto, a report has been submitted by the Medical Board of the B. J. Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital, Pune. The said report dated 12th July 2025 is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification. After detailed examination, the doctors have opined as under:- Clinical impressionThe patient is stuporous with minimal response to pain. There is no evidence that the patient understands any verbal or nonverbal communication and also there is no meaningful verbal or nonverbal response from patient. Also, there is no evidence to suggest that this patient has any awareness of self or surroundings. His other major organ functions mainly heart and respiratory systems are acceptable.

ConclusionBased on the review of medical history, hospital records, history from relatives and clinical examination with neurological assessment, the patient Sunil Shrikrishna Likhite, is currently in state of "persistent vegetative state". Recovery is unlikely in light of underlying posterior circulation brain stroke that occurred due to Basilar artery occlusion and lack of improvement since May 2024. He is completely dependent on care givers for his survival. 5.

At this stage, since details of the properties have not been let out properly as a schedule to the petition, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to amend to annex the details of the properties (movable and immovable) of the respondent No.3, that the petitioner wants to manage. Leave granted. Amendment to be carried out during the course of this week and amended copy be served on the other side. 6.

Stand over to 29th July 2025. To be listed on the Supplementary Board.
