Heard Mr. Tamboly, learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner and Ms. Jain, learned Counsel appearing for the Respondent.

Both the learned Counsel state that statutory cooling-off period of 18 months as prescribed under Section 13-B(2) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 ("the said Act") is getting over on 31st July 2025. Both of them state that the next scheduled date of the matter is 26th September 2025.

Both the learned Counsel relied on the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Amardeep Sing vs. Harveen Kaur1 (2017) 8 SCC 746 Sonali

However, this is a case where no application for waiver of statutory cooling-off period as contemplated under Section 13-B(2) of the said Act has been filed and in any case, said cooling-off period of 18 months is getting over on 31st July 2025. Accordingly, the learned Judge, Family Court is requested to take up the Petition F. No.962 of 2025 immediately after 31st July 2025 and pass the necessary order on the said Petition immediately. 5.
Parties are at liberty to move before the learned Judge, Family Court on 4th August 2025.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of in above terms with no order as to costs.
