The matter is listed for compliance. It is the contention of the learned AGP that the petitioner did not remain present before the Tahsildar on 23/03/2026. Moreover, it is submitted that the Tahsildar does not have any authority to decide the application. Our order dated 16/03/2026 is very clear. We have only directed the Tahsildar to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Obviously, if Tahsildar does not have the authority, the said aspect has to be dealt with by the Tahsildar on which we have not made any observation.

In such view of the matter, time to comply with the order passed by this Court on 16/03/2026 is extended for further period of 6 weeks from today.

List the matter on 17/06/2026 for compliance. 4.
