Issue notice to the Respondents, returnable on 19.08.2025. The learned AGP waives service of notice for Respondent No.1. Let affidavit in reply be filed at least one week prior to the returnable date.

The Petitioner submits that he has worked in a difficult area for over 14 years from 2004 to 2018. In 2018, he was transferred to a plain area and has been working for only around 7 1/2

Now having performed a stint of more than 14 years in a difficult area, the State of Maharashtra's policy exempts the Petitioner for further transfer to the difficult area until he has completed 10 years of assignment in the plain area. He has put in only 7 years.

In view of above submissions, the services of the Petitioner shall not be transferred to a difficult area, without the permission of the Court.
