Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner.

Against the order dated 02.04.2025 passed by Additional Commissioner, Kokan Division, the Petitioner has filed revision application under Section 257 of the Maharashtra Land and Revenue Code, 1966 before the Hon'ble Minister Revenue and Forest Department.

Additional Commissioner. However, since the revision is pending it will not be proper for us at this stage to observe anything on the merits of the contentions raised so far as challenge to the order of the Additional Commissioner is concerned. It is open for the Petitioner to raise all contentions in the revision which is pending before the Hon'ble Minister.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner requests that the proceedings before the Hon'ble Minister be expedited.

Learned AGP opposed this request. It is submitted that considering the workload before the Hon'ble Minister the insistence by learned counsel for the Petitioner to expedite the proceedings is not justified.

However, in the facts and circumstance of the present case, we are inclined to request the Hon'ble Minister, Revenue and Forest Department to decide the revision application expeditiously and preferably within a period of one year from the date of communication of this order.

So far as the application for stay filed in the revision is concerned, the Hon'ble Minister is requested to consider grant of ad2/3

interim/interim relief or decide the application itself on its own merits and in accordance with law preferably within a period of eight weeks from 30th April 2026.

The Petitioner to remain present alongwith copy of this order before the Hon'ble Minister on 30th April 2026 at 3.00 p.m., when further schedule as per the convenience of the Hon'ble Minister be fixed.
