This Writ Petition has been filed with a limited prayer that the application dated 8th January, 2025, filed by the petitioner before the respondent No.4 seeking registration of name of the petitioner in respect of 7/12 extract of Gat No. 78, 79 P 83/2/3+3 of village Dhamangaon, Tal. Bhiwandi, District Thane, has not been disposed of by the concerned Authority till today. 2.

Ms. Salunke, learned AGP, appearing for the official respondents submits that due to certain discrepancies in the description of the property the matter is under verification. However, within two months from today, appropriate order will be passed in the application dated 8th January, 2025. In view of the submission made by the learned AGP, we are of the view that no practical purpose will be served by keeping the writ petition pending before this Court any further. 4.

We, therefore, disposed of the Writ Petition by providing that, within eight weeks from today, the respondent No.4 or any other authority, concerned in the matter, shall do the needful and dispose of the application submitted by the petitioner by a reasoned order.
