Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.

The petitioners have challenged transfer orders dated 21.08.2025, issued by the respondent Zilla Parishad. The said transfer orders are challenged on the ground of the same being mid-term transfers, as Clause 5.6 of the Government Resolution dated 18.06.2024 specifies that ordinarily the transfer orders may be issued between 1st May and 31st May of each year. No special reasons have been recorded for such mid-term transfer orders. In the case of petitioner Nos. 27 to 31, an additional ground is raised
(( 2 )) 2-WP-11319-2025 for challenging the impugned transfer orders. The same pertains to couple convenience, which forms part of the Government Resolution dated 18.06.2024 at Clause 1.9. It is submitted that in similar petitions, this Court has issued notice and granted interim relief in cases where the petitioners were yet to be relieved from their current postings.

It is specifically asserted on behalf of the Petitioners that they are yet to be relieved and therefore, prayer for interim relief is also being pressed.

Issue notice to the respondents, returnable on 04.10.2025.

The learned AGP waives service of notice on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 and 2. Ms Diggikar, the learned counsel waives service of notice on behalf of respondent Nos. 3 and 4. 6.
Till the next date of listing, status-quo as on today, shall be maintained.
