By this petition, the petitioners seek direction to the respondent to acquire their land and pay compensation to them. IRESH MASHAL Admittedly, the possession of the petitioners' land was taken in the by IRESH MASHAL Date:

Respondents have filed reply and contented that land acquisition process is initiated and compensation amount will be paid to the petitioners after completion of the process of the land acquisition. Due to lack of funds after Covid, compensation amount could not be received by the office of the Deputy Engineer, PWD, Radhanagari, District, Kolhapur. A demand is already raised to the government. The statements made in the affidavit-in-reply filed by the respondents, are recorded as undertaking to this Court. 4.

Writ petition is therefore, disposed of by directing the respondent to carry out acquisition process as expeditiously as possible, within the time stipulated in the Act and pay compensation to the petitioners, in accordance with law.
