By this petition, the petitioner seeks termination of the pregnancy of her daughter, aged 17 years and 13 days, who is a victim of sexual assault. The pregnancy is of 29.2 weeks. Considering the aforesaid and the urgency involved, we deem it appropriate to direct Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, 1/3

Mumbai, to forthwith constitute a Medical Board, in terms of the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (Amendment) Act, 2021 r/w the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971, in order to enable the Board to examine the petitioner's daughter tomorrow i.e. on 26th August 2025, and to submit its report to this Court accordingly.

Learned A.G.P assures to forthwith communicate this order to the hospital authorities, so as to enable them to urgently constitute a Medical Board, having regard to the number of weeks of pregnancy.

The Medical Board after examining the petitioner's daughter, to submit its report to this Court on or before 29th August 2025.

Liberty is granted to the learned counsel for the petitioner to move the Vacation Bench.
