The learned Advocate for Respondent No. 2 Municipal Council refers to an additional affidavit by way of compliance dated 22.01.2026 filed through Mr. Maruti Gaikwad, Chief Officer, Kulgaon Badlapur Municipal Council and submits that the Municipal Council has already forwarded a proposal for the acquisition of a portion of the Petitioner's land to the District Collector. He further submits that, as the Petitioner does not want TDR, the Municipal Council would pay monetary compensation to the Petitioner in accordance with the Right to Fair Trupti ...1

2.

In view of the above, we expect the District Collector to deal with the said proposal expeditiously and pass an urgent order for clearing the said proposal, by following the due procedure laid down in law. 3.

In the meantime, the Municipal Council shall take necessary steps with respect to the Jagannath Galaxy Cooperative Society's two buildings (seven floors each) to ensure that the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is quickly established, keeping in view that the work is in progress. The Municipal Council shall carry out routine inspections to ensure that work on the STP is proceeding with due promptitude. 4.

On the next date of hearing, we would expect a considerable progress on the STP as well as on the proposal for acquisition. 5.
