Heard learned counsel for the respective parties. 2.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he does not press prayer clause 'a' and that the only relief pressed is prayer clause 'b', which reads thus :- 1/3

"(b) This Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue the Writ of Mandamus or any other writ in the nature of mandamus and be pleased to direct the Respondent No.1 to decide the representation dated 25.01.2024 being Exhibit 'D' to the present Petition filed by the Petitioner after giving the Petitioner a hearing as expeditiously as possible." 3.

Learned AGP on instructions states that the petitioner's representation will be decided by the respondent No.1 within 8 weeks. Statement accepted.

Accordingly, we request the Respondent No.1 to decide petitioner's representation dated 25th January 2025 as expeditiously as possible and in any event within 8 weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

Accordingly the petition is allowed on the aforesaid terms.

We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of prayer clause 'a' since the said prayer clause is not pressed. 2/3

We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of petitioner's representation and as such the authority to decide the said representation on its own merits, in accordance with law. 8.

Petition stands disposed of accordingly.

All the concerned parties to act on the authenticated copy of this order.
