We have perused the communication dated 7th November, 2024 addressed by the Sub Divisional Officer, Madha Division, Kurduwadi to the District Collector, Solapur. No objection has already been issued by the Deputy Executive Engineer of the Ujani Dam Management Department stating that they are not in need of the acquired land and that they have no objection for returning the land to the concerned land owners from whom it was acquired. We direct the District Collector, Solapur to take a decision on the communication dated 7th November, 2024, addressed by the Sub Divisional Officer, after considering the no objection Certificate issued by the Deputy Executive Engineer dated 25th October, 2018 [Exhibit-J], as expeditiously as possible and, in any case, within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. It is open for the District Collector to hear the petitioner, if necessary.
