The challenge in this Writ Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is to the Order dated 22nd September 2025 passed by the learned Judge, Family Court, Mumbai by which the Application of the Petitioner i.e. Original Respondent in Petition No. A-2919 of 2014 seeking dismissal and/or stay of the said proceedings is rejected. The said application was filed on the ground that the Respondent i.e. Original Petitioner has not complied with the Order directing payment of maintenance to the daughter.

Both the learned Counsel state that, during the pendency of this Petition, the entire amount of the maintenance of the daughter has been paid and therefore nothing survives in this Writ Petition and the same be disposed of.

However, both the learned Counsel state that a learned Single Judge by Order dated 8th July 2025 passed in Civil Writ Petition No.2027 of 2022 has directed the disposal of the said Petition No. A2919 of 2014, within a period of 3 months. The said period expires on 7th October 2025.

In the facts and circumstances, time to dispose of the said Petition No. A-2919 of 2014 is extended till 30th November 2025. 5.

The Writ Petition is disposed of in above terms with no order as to costs.
