The learned Advocate for the Petitioners informs us that the Petitioners are identically placed with the Petitioners in Writ Petition No.1294 of 2018 (Smt. Jayashree Shivaji Jakate & Ors. V/s. The State of Maharashtra & Ors.) and connected large group of cases, which have been disposed off by a final order dated 4th December, 2025 delivered by this Court.

In all these matters, the proposals for seeking approval to the appointments of the Petitioners, forwarded by the Educational Institution, have been rejected on the ground that the deficiencies have not been removed.

The learned Advocate for the Institution submits that the deficiencies were removed. They were not looked into by the concerned Authority and without application of mind, the revised proposals were mechanically rejected.

In view of the above, all these Writ Petitions are partly allowed. The impugned orders are set aside. Considering the further directions that we are issuing, the proposals would be kept in abeyance before the concerned Authority, subject to the decision of the Special Committee constituted.

The Petitioners would be subjected to the same process which this Court has directed vide order dated 4th December, 2025 by appointing the Single Member Committee of Hon'ble Shri Justice Rajesh G. Ketkar (retired Judge of the Bombay High Court), save and except, if there is any clause in the order dated 4th
December 2025, which disqualifies the Petitioners. Needless to state, the Petitioners would, therefore, act in accordance with the terms of the final order/decision of the said Committee. (ASHWIN D. BHOBE, J.) (RAVINDRA V. GHUGE, J.)
