Heard learned Counsel for the parties.

Dr. Sabban, learned counsel for the petitioner, has placed on record the communication dated 12 September 2024 addressed by the Deputy Commissioner, Land Acquisition and Management (Pune Municipal Corporation) to the Collector stating that the property comes under Survey No.34 to be acquired, which includes the petitioner's property which is situated at Survey No.34/1/9/1 to 6 (part) at Katraj, Taluka Haveli, District Pune. 3.

Accordingly, Dr. Sabban submits that the aforesaid petition can be disposed of by directing the State Government/Special Land Acquisition Officer to consider the Corporation's proposal and initiate acquisition proceedings expeditiously. There is no opposition to such contentions. In any event, all necessary steps in law would be required to be taken to acquire the land if it is intended to be acquired. 4.

Accordingly, we direct the State Government to consider the Corporation's P.V.Rane

18WP13029-25CORRECTED.DOC proposal in accordance with law for initiation of acquisition proceedings and payment of compensation. All these be done expeditiously and preferably within one year from the date of uploading of this order. 5.

Petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 6.
