Mr. Vaibhav Ugle, Advocate for the Petitioner. Ms. Priyanka Chavan, Advocate for Respondent No.1/UOI. Ms. D.S. Deshmukh, AGP for Respondent Nos.2 & 3/State. CORAM : RAVINDRA V. GHUGE & ASHWIN D. BHOBE, JJ.
DATE : 8th OCTOBER, 2025 P.C. :- 1.
The learned AGP for the State is under instructions to oppose this Petition for the reason that the Petitioner decided to start the Petitioner's Law College on 'permanent no grant basis'. The Petitioner is now trying to use the process of law to push an application to the State, calling upon the State under the Writ of Mandamus, to change the status of the college. The State Government had permitted the Petitioner to start a college only for the reason that the Petitioner has agreed to do so on permanent no grant basis.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits at this stage that the Petitioner desires to withdraw this Petition and explore the remedy of moving an appropriate forum for seeking change in the status of the institution from 'permanent no grant basis' to 'grant in aid basis'.
3.
In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off as withdrawn, on instructions.
4.
Needless to state, if the Petitioner resorts to a remedy in the light of the aforesaid statement, all contentions of the parties are kept open.
