A limited prayer in this petition is to direct the District Collector, Pune (respondent no. 3) to decide an application preferred by the petitioner (Exhibit-A/ page 28 of the petition) for transfer of FL-II and CLFLTOD-3 licences which were granted to Mr. Late Ramesh Bapurao Padmawar, the father of the petitioner.

Mr. Desai, the learned counsel for the petitioner, invites the attention of the Court to a judgment and order dated 25th March 2025 passed by a learned Single Judge of this Court in Writ Petition No.

Varsha 28-wp-13362-2025.doc 1812 of 2025, whereby this Court had allowed the said petition preferred by the Petitioner and his late father in terms of prayer clause (a), and restored the order passed by the District Collector, Pune dated 5th April 2022, cancelling the transfer of the licences and restoring FL-II licence in favour of the late father of the petitioner. 4.

Mr. Desai submits that the prayer for transfer of licence in the capacity of the legal heir of the original licensee is essentially consequential to the order passed by this Court as the late father of the petitioner passed away on 2nd January 2025.

In view of the restoration of the licence in the name of the late father of the petitioner pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 25th March 2025 in Writ Petition No. 1812 of 2025, respondent no. 3 is required to pass an appropriate order in accordance with Rules. 6.

In view of the above, the petition stands disposed with a direction to the respondent no. 3 to hear and decide the application for transfer of the licence (Exhibit-A) in accordance with law and rules as expeditiously as possible and, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.
