The petitioner has challenged the certificate issued under Section 101 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960, before the Revisional Authority under Section 154 of the said Act. 2.

The petitioner filed an application before the Revisional Authority seeking exemption from the mandatory deposit required under Section 154(2A) of the Act. The Revisional Authority rejected the said application and consequently dismissed the revision. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of the present writ petition.

It is clarified that if the petitioner complies with the requirement of Section 154(2A) of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, the Revisional Authority shall entertain and decide
