PER COURT :- 1.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondent is an M.Sc.-qualified person and that the Family Court has recorded a finding that the petitioner is earning Rs. 30,000/- per month. He submits that his income is less than Rs.30,000/-. He further submits that even assuming the finding of the Family Court is correct, directing the petitioner to pay Rs. 9,000/- per month would be excessive, as the petitioner has to incur expenses towards his employment and other necessary purposes. 2.

Until the next date, the petitioner shall continue to pay a sum of Rs. 6,000/- per month to the respondent as interim maintenance. The petitioner shall also clear 50% of the outstanding arrears within eight weeks from today. 3.
