By this petition, the only relief sought by the petitioner is, a direction to the Commissioner of State Excise, Maharashtra State i.e. respondent No.2 herein to decide the petitioner's appeal, which is pending before him since April 2025.

Having perused the petition and having regard to the fact that the appeal is filed in April 2025, we deem it appropriate to direct the respondent No.2 to decide the petitioner's appeal, as expeditiously as possible, and in any event within 4 weeks from the date of receipt of N. S. Chitnis 1/2
