The present petition has been filed for the following relief: "A. Issue a writ of mandamus or appropriate writ, order or direction directing Respondents to consider and decide the representation dated 23.04.2025 (EXHIBIT 'C') submitted by the petitioner Association regarding renewal of licenses of 180 tenders for the years 2024-25 and 2025-26, within a stipulated time."

Heard the learned advocate Mr. Deokate holding for Mr. R.P. Adgaonkar. Learned AGP waives service of notice for respondents No.1 to 4.

There cannot be a right to renewal of a licence in favour of anyone. Therefore, it cannot be made the subject matter for exercise of

45-WP-15151-25.odt {2} powers under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to direct Respondent Nos. 5 and 6 to entertain the petitioner's application for renewal. he petitioner ought to have approached Respondent No. 4 with the grievance that Respondent Nos. 5 and 6 had not taken any decision. If the subject matter is within the control of Respondent No. 4, he may issue necessary directions to Respondent Nos. 5 and 6 for holding a meeting 5.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
