The Writ Petition can be disposed of by directing the Respondent No.2 to decide the application dated 22nd August 2024 made by the Petitioner to the Sub Divisional Officer for issuance of fresh certificate as belonging to 'Koli Mahadev, Scheduled Tribe' considering the law laid down by this Court in Prakash s/o Subhash Bhople vs. Deputy Collector (General), Latur and others decided on 14th August 2014 in Writ Petition No.4536 of 2014. It is Note - This order is corrected as per Speaking to the Minutes of the Order dated 2.2.2026.

Bhogale 4.wp-15358-2025 (modified).odt the case of the Petitioner that the Petitioner has been issued with the caste certificate as belonging to 'Mahadev Koli', but the nomenclature is incorrect as the certificate issued should have stated that the Petitioner belongs to 'Koli Mahadev'. The application dated 22nd August 2024 to be decided expeditiously and in any case within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.
