The Petitioners herein had filed an Application under Section 18 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 read with Rule 17 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Rules, 1961 before the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies i.e. the Respondent No.1. By filing this Writ Petition, the Petitioners are seeking a direction for expeditious disposal of the said Application. 2.

Ms. Kavita N. Solunke, learned AGP appearing for the Respondent No.1 submits, on instructions, that the Application submitted by the Petitioners will be decided within eight weeks from today.

Taking note of such submissions made by the learned AGP and taking note of the prayers made in the Writ Petition, we dispose of the Writ Petition by directing that the Application of the Petitioners be finally decided with a reasoned order within eight weeks from today, in accordance with law.

Whatever be the decision, the same shall be communicated to them within one week thereafter.
