By this Writ Petition, the Petitioners have sought for a direction to the Respondent No.2 - DRT, Pune to expeditiously hear and dispose of the pending Original Application No. 792 of 2001 in a time bound manner. 2.

The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioners states that Petitioner No.2 is 82 years of age and classified as a Super Senior Citizen under the Income Tax Act, 1961. He has submitted that the Petitioners have been facing trial for the last 30 years, the Suit having been filed prior to the enactment of the Recovery of Debts Due to Banks and Financial Institutions

(RDDBFI) Act, 1993 and upon its enactment, was transferred as Original Application No. 792 of 2001 to the Debts Recovery Tribunal (DRT). 3.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioners states that the Respondent No.2 - DRT, Pune has listed the Original Application No. 792 of 2001 on 1st December 2025. He has accordingly submitted that the Respondent No.2 - DRT, Pune be directed to commence the hearing of the O.A. No. 792 of 2001 on that date and thereafter, conclude the hearing and pass order within time bound manner.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioners states that both the Respondent No.1 - Indian Bank and Respondent No. 2- DRT, Pune have been served and has tendered the documents of service which includes the notices dated 26th November 2025 which have duly been acknowledged by the Respondent No.1 - Indian Bank and Respondent No.2 - DRT, Pune. The notices dated 26th November 2025 are taken on record and marked 'X' Collectively for identification.

Considering that the aforementioned proceedings have been pending for over 30 years, we direct the DRT, Pune to commence the hearing of the O.A. No. 792 of 2001 on 1st December 2025 and to dispose it of by 27th February 2026.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of in the above terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
