The challenge in the present petition arises out of the order dated 3 July 2025 passed in Revision Application No. 272 of 2023. On perusal of the impugned order, it is evident that the Revisional Authority entertained a challenge to an order of appointing an Authorised Officer, issued in furtherance of the Government Resolution dated 4 July 2019, to preside over the General Body Meeting of the respondent-housing society. Such an order appointing an Authorised Officer cannot be construed as a "decision" or "order" within the meaning of Section 154 of the

908-wp-16115-2025.doc Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960. Accordingly, the Revisional Authority could not have entertained a challenge to such an order. Hence, Rule is made absolute in terms of prayer clause (a).

The writ petition stands disposed of in above terms. No costs.
