By this petition, the only relief sought by the petitioner is a direction to the learned Judge, City Civil Court, Mazgaon to expeditiously dispose of the Commercial Suit No. 402 of 2020. 1/2

Perused the papers. The aforesaid Commercial Suit bearing No. 402 of 2020 is pending for the last 5 years. 3.

Considering the object of the Commercial Court Act and the fact that the aforesaid suit is pending for last 5 years, we deem it appropriate to direct the learned Judge, City Civil Court, Mazgaon to dispose of the said suit as expeditiously as possible and in any event within 6 months from the date of receipt of this order.

We make it clear that we have not heard the petition on merits and as such, all contentions of all parties on merits are kept open.
