The Petitioner in person has not tendered a copy of the Certificate purportedly issued, as per his statement, by the Committee of the Registrars permitting him to appear in person. 2.

There is no note in the Writ Petition paper book of such a certificate being issued.

The learned Advocate for the Management submits that, the decision of the grievance committee under Section 79 of

the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 is challenged by the Management before the University Tribunal. The learned Advocate for the Mumbai University is before us only to assist the Court and he submits that under Section 81 of the 2016 Act, the Appeal preferred by the Management before the University Tribunal, is not maintainable.

The learned Advocate for the Management makes a statement that this Court may record that the Management desires to withdraw the said Appeal and may order the disposal of the same, since, the Presiding officer of the Tribunal is not appointed. 5.

He further submits that, a Writ Petition for challenging the order of the Committee would be filed within 15 days before the learned Single Judge of this Court. The Petitioner would be arrayed as a Respondent and notice would be given to him. 6.

In view of the above, we observe that the Appeal No. 18 of 2025 filed before the University Tribunal at Mumbai, stands disposed off as withdrawn by the Respondent Management.

This Petition is disposed off since the Management desires to challenge the order of the Grievance Committee before the learned Single Judge, within 15 days. If such Petition is not filed within 15 days, we grant liberty to the Petitioner to seek revival of this Petition and further hearing.
