The learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that he would be satisfied if the Respondent No.4 decides the Appeal No.605/2024 filed under Section 247 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code expeditiously and in a time bound manner. 2.

The request is opposed by the learned counsel for the respondents.

However, having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, we are satisfied that as the appeal is filed in the year 2024 and in the facts and circumstances of the case, the request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is reasonable.

The Respondent No.4 is accordingly directed to decide the Appeal No.605/2024 as expeditiously as possible and in any event within the period of 8 weeks from 17th April 2026. 5.

The petitioner and respondent No.8 to appear before the District Superintendent of Land Records at 11.00 a.m. on 17th April 2026. This shall be construed as sufficient notice to the petitioner and respondent Nos.6 and 8.

All the other reliefs prayed for and contentions raised in the petition are kept open to be the decided in appropriate proceedings, if the need arises.

We have not made any observations on merits of the contentions raised in this petition.

Writ Petition is disposed of.
